What:  Ribbon Cutting for the Stewart Park Trailhead along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail

When:  Thursday, November 6 at 12 noon.

Where: Stewart Park Trailhead, east of the Picnic (Large) Pavilion along the Waterfront Trail and Lakeshore in Stewart Park

Join the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce, City of Ithaca, the Friends of Stewart Park and other trail supporters and friends to celebrate the opening of the Stewart Park Trailhead, the 5th and last planned trailhead along the Waterfront Trail.  This trailhead was made possible through the support of the Legacy Foundation of Tompkins County, the Tompkins County Tourism Program, bench donors Miller Mayer LLP, the Creating Healthy Places Project, and the LoPinto Family along with many bike rack and stepping stone donors.

The ribbon cutting will also honor Tourism Partner Award winners, in particular Stuart Stein, who received a Tourism Partner Award from the County Legislature late last year.  Stu passed away in June 2014 and the interpretive kiosk sign (below) will be dedicated to him for his years of work on tourism development in Tompkins County.
