It provides forward-looking direction\, guides key decisions\, defines measurable goals\, and provides structure for evaluating progress.\n\n \n\nWith these benefits in mind\, how do you get started?\n\n\n\nThis session provides a framework for an effective process for strategic thinking\, decision making\, and planning that will help position your organization for success.\n\n \n\nAttendees will learn:\n\n\n	How to differentiate strategic thinking\, decision making\, and planning\n	Strategic thinking concepts and methods\n	How to move the organization from a reactive\, tactical mindset to a proactive\, strategic mindset\n	How to clarify strategic priorities for easier decision making\n	Tool and techniques to translate strategy into tangible actions and results\n\n\nCindy Wilcox serves as the Director of Leadership Development and Consulting Services for the Human Services Coalition of Tompkins County\, an organization that works to enhance the health and human services delivery systems in the region. She also provides independent consulting services with expertise in mission and strategy development\, board development\, systems redesign\, and performance improvement.\n\n \n\nPrior to her current work\, Cindy served in various leadership and executive positions in health administration and higher education. She earned her undergraduate degree in health services administration from Ithaca College and her master's degree in public administration from SUNY Brockport. She is a certified facilitator in total quality management\, a certified trainer for TeamSTEPPS System for Healthcare\, and a graduate of the HERS Management Institute for Women in Higher Education. She serves as president of the board of Unity House of Cayuga County and co-chair of Moms for Play.
