Let's Get Cooking: A Farm-to-Tabe Wine and Cooking Adventure is an intimate, one-of-a-kind culinary wine tour, where you will immerse yourself in the bounty of the Finger Lakes and create your own Finger Lakes meal from the ground up!
This tour features:
*Winemaker barrel tasting featuring Bod Madill at Sheldrake Point Vineyards, where you will taste three vintages of his own personally crafted Pinot Noir, plus other carefully selected wines that will enjoy as part as your aftenoon cooking class.
*Cheese-making tour and cheese tasting at Lively Run Goat Dairy, where you will sample varieties of French-style Chevre, Mediterranean-styled Feta, and their unique Cayuga Blue.
*Three-hour cooking class and meal experience with regional celebrity chef Samantha Buyskes, of Simply Red Events. Join Chef Samantha in her home kitchen as she prepares and demonstrates the creation of a three-course meal featuring the cheese and wines experienced earlier in the tour. Enjoy the flavors of the Finger Lakes as you learn about preparation and cooking methods, shopping tips, and the magic behind the wonderful regional food of our area. Theme of January cooking class is Discovering the Power of Spice.
