Name: Team Workshop - Cooperation as a Competitive Advantage
Date: February 27, 2018
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST
Registration: Register Now
Event Description:
This workshop is focused on cooperation within and among teams to help drive a competitive advantage for your team, department, or organization. The takeaways will help you to better align your common goals to improve your productivity, efficiency, morale, social goals, and bottom line.

• A pre-workshop survey will gather information about your organization, resulting in a customized report.

• The workshop will begin with an overview of how "the science of cooperation" can help organizations function better in the real world, both internally and in their interactions with other organizations.

• Next, a technique will be presented that increases the flexibility of both individuals and groups to move in valued directions and avoid obstacles that so often get in the way.

• The heart of the workshop will be a review of eight "Core Design Principles" that nearly all groups need to function well. The data gathered beforehand will be used to show how well your organization currently implements the CDPs (this information will be private within your group).

• The workshop will end with the formation of short term goals so that your organization can "hit the ground running" to achieve its valued goals.

• The workshop is a "speed" version of a process that is being offered to groups around the world. Please visit www.prosocial.world for more.

Here are some of the problems that can be overcome with the help of PROSOCIAL: According to a 2017 Gallup poll, organizations with low employee engagement scores had: • 37% higher absenteeism • 49% more accidents • 60% more errors in their work • 18% lower productivity • 16% lower profitability • 37% lower job growth • 65% lower share price.

The workshop will be presented by David Sloan Wilson President of the Evolution Institute and SUNY Distinguished Professor of Biology and Anthropology at Binghamton University.  Wilson is an expert in organizational cooperation and multi-group ecosystems and has worked with luminaries such as Elinor Ostrom (recipient of the 2009 Nobel Prize in economics) and Steven C. Hayes (founder of Acceptance and Commitment Training, or ACT) in the development of PROSOCIAL.
