Mama's Comfort Camp (a nonprofit project of the Center for Transformative Action) creates programs that nurture the health of our community and amplify the voices of parents and caregivers; because only when the caregivers are supported, the entire community can thrive.
Our Mission: to normalize the struggles of motherhood, facilitate the asking (and receiving) of help, and amplify the voices of parents and caregivers in advocacy on racial and social justice.
Our Vision: a world in which all are seen, heard, and held.
We leverage social media to uplift, connect, and heal. We serve thousands of mothers, caregivers, and other community members, meeting them where they already are. We also tend to the largest community road safety resource in the Finger Lakes area. Our trained volunteer moderators watch over our forums in shifts around the clock, guarding our safe spaces. We are committed to keeping our forums free for everyone, therefore community support is needed to sustain our work.
We are always looking for sponsors and business partnerships. Our social media forums include over 12,000 local members and our posts are seen by over 8,000 unique users every day. We hold community events and celebrations that are excellent sponsorship opportunities, included our Listen to the Mothers annual celebration taking place on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend in downtown Ithaca, and incudes music, art, comedy, as well as craft and food vendors.
