Book Talk with Deborah Jones

Hear local artist Deborah Jones talk about renovating a 19th-century barn into a home and studio. Deborah documented her experience in a barn-shaped book, The Barn Story: A Women's Building Adventure. The first half describes the process of converting the space; the second half documents the results. The artist created a quirky, cartoon action figure as her surrogate to demonstrate how she accomplished the makeover. Her visual presentation covers her experiences converting the barn as well as creating the book. The book will be available for purchase, with a percentage of the sale to benefit Historic Ithaca.
