February DEI Workshop: Values Driven Leadership: Discover How to Lead From Your Purpose
Starting (s) Track

How are you spending your time? Putting out fires or moving forward with your big vision and goals?

Leading with our values reinforces our sense of direction and offers us authentic language to articulate our vision with conviction. This workshop will explore how to identify and then affirm your values to help sustain your goals for meaningful inclusion and collective transformation you  want to make.

When you as an individual and your organization are clear on your values, here is what is possible:

  • Clear purpose and direction
  • No more conflicting priorities
  • Conflicts get solved (and avoided altogether)
  • You become a better leader
  • Clear communication
  • Better problem solving vs navigating drama
  • Stronger collaboration and team dynamics
  • Increased efficiency
  • Deep trust and connection
This workshop will get you started with direction of identifying and implementing your values to support your individual and organizational goals.

Presented by: Kim Wunner, Consultant & Coach

Kim Wunner is a business and leadership coach, partnering with individuals and organizations to get clear on their vision and values, so they can take action as their authentic selves in business and in life. She is certified in Presence Based Coaching. She works with clients to bring visibility to their authentic selves in their careers. Her clients learn to lead from a place that aligns to their values. They deconstruct external and internal barriers to bring in more joy, more momentum, more creative solutions that propel themselves and elevate teams.

Kim lives in Ithaca, NY having just relocated from 20+ years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is Italian American and the first woman in her family to earn a college degree.  Kim spent 20 years in a marketing career when she decided it was time to align her life to her values. She left corporate America, earned a coaching certificate and now has a successful practice. She is most passionate about women and organizations living in their big ideas. She is skilled about building systems of inclusion both in and out corporate spaces that elevate the individual and deconstruct patriarchy. Her practice is woman and LGBTQ+ owned.

With gratitude to sponsors Cayuga Health System, Tompkins Community Bank, Community Foundation of Tompkins County, BorgWarner, and Chemung Canal Trust Company for their support.

Learn about our entire DEI Series below!

The goal of this educational workshop series is to help empower employees, leaders and stakeholders to be more inclusive to create impact and change.

We’ve invited an array of excellent, experienced facilitators to host the workshops throughout this series. The series will feature activities, workshops and learning opportunities on the topics outlined on our website. To aid Chamber Members' desire to build greater diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in their respective workplaces, a group of experienced facilitators and consultants will be conducting six webinars each month from January to June.

There are six workshops in total. Where you’re at in your journey of DEI exploration will be helpful in determining which workshops to attend.
  • Workshops geared towards those who are just starting (labeled s) their journey of learning and understanding how to begin cultivating diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) workplaces
  • Workshops geared toward those are consider themselves advanced (labeled a) in understanding DEI and want an opportunity to continue learning and take a dive deeper into specific topics.
The series has the added benefit of introducing Chamber members to local consultants and facilitators who can assist their respective businesses and organizations to develop strategic DEI plans, conduct follow up workplace trainings, and assist in recruitment/retention strategies for a diverse workforce.
