Two sessions in one!
Join us to learn more about Minority Woman Owned Business (MWBE) Certification from Empire State Development's Division of Minority & Women's Business Development. Ryan Smith, Economic Development Program Specialist, will share information about the Division of Minority & Women's Business Development, explore why a business might consider becoming an MWBE, how to apply for certification, and how to explore contract opportunities once certified.
Next, we'll spend time with a panel of local business owners who are MWBE Certified, and explore the reasons why they became certified, the benefits and the costs of being a NYS Certified MBWE, the collaborations and partnerships they've developed, and their tips and tricks for exploring contract opportunities to maximize this business opportunity. Certified MWBE panel to be announced soon!
