L.E.A.R.N: COVID-19 Business Reopen and Recovery: Unemployment Insurance Support
Tompkins County, along with 9 other regions, are starting the 4 phases presented by Governor Andrew Cuomo to UnPause NY State. Over the next few months, organizations throughout the State will face differing schedules and parameters for resuming business operations. With strong commitments to community partnership and public impact, the Tompkins Chamber of Commerce is continuing it's L.E.A.R.N webinar series and shifting our focus to COVID-19 Business Reopen and Recovery.
The next webinar in our series will focus on providing information for employers and employees on Unemployment Insurance Support.

- UI Help (FAQs and Tips) – Review NYS DOL’s current FAQs, as well as tips TWFNY staff have put together that will make the process easier to navigate and complete successfully. In addition, we will cover information about the current length of UI benefits, accessing the additional $600/wk (PUC), partial UI, temporary vs permanent layoffs, and Shared Work.
- Moving Forward - Discuss current services available through TWNFY including virtual workshops, free online training resources, and the Tompkins ReDirect and NYS DOL job search sites for essential employment opportunities.
