L.E.A.R.N: Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Has Been Postponed
Due to updated information regarding COVID-19 that directly impacts our Community, the Tompkins Chamber is postponing our L.E.A.R.N: Sexual Harassment Prevention Training. This event will be rescheduled to a later date, and as soon as we have that date, we will post it on the events calendar, communicate to all previously registered attendees, and share in our Chambergram newsletter. The health and safety of the community and the success of your business/organization are top priorities for the Tompkins Chamber.

Join the Tompkins Chamber, on Tuesday, March 31st, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., as we present information about the New York State guidelines for sexual harassment prevention training.

This 1.5 hour NYS Compliant Sexual Harassment Prevention Training will include:
  • an explanation of sexual harassment consistent with New York State guidance;
  • examples of unlawful sexual harassment;
  • information regarding federal/state law on sexual harassment and remedies available to victims;
  • Information regarding employee rights of redress and available forums for adjudicating complaints; and
  • Address supervisor conduct & responsibilities.
The training will conclude with a Q&A for all attendees, and will qualify as a "train the trainer" opportunity.

About our presenter:
Linda Bryan, MPS, received her sexual harassment prevention training from Hancock & Estabrook LLP. She holds a Masters Degree from the School of Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell University. She previously served as Director of Employee Assistance Program at Family & Children's Service of Ithaca, where she provided human resource consultations for regional businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
