New York State law requires that employers provide a sexual harassment prevention policy and training on an annual basis to all employees, and encourages training of new employees as soon as possible, noting that employers may be liable for the actions of employees immediately upon hire.
Join the Tompkins Chamber, on Wednesday, December 18, from 11:00am to 12:30pm., as we present the New York State guidelines for sexual harassment prevention training.
This 1.5 hour NYS Compliant Sexual Harassment Prevention Training will include:
- An explanation of sexual harassment consistent with New York State guidance;
- Examples of unlawful sexual harassment;
- Information regarding federal/state law on sexual harassment and remedies available to victims;
- Information regarding employee rights of redress and available forums for adjudicating complaints; and
- Address supervisor conduct & responsibilities.
