Marketing Workshop & Brochure Exchange

The Ithaca Tompkins County Convention & Visitors Bureau/ Visit Ithaca will host a marketing workshop for tourism partners, including Tompkins Tourism Program marketing grant recipients on May 8, 2019 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Immediately following, Visit Ithaca will hold the annual brochure exchange with an 11:30a.m. start. The annual brochure exchange allows area tourism and hospitality businesses such as accommodations, attractions, theatres and more to come together to exchange printed literature and brochures in preparation to kick of the busy summer tourism season. The brochure exchange is a tail-gate style event where businesses can simply pop the trunk of their car to display brochures, and walk around meeting representatives from other area businesses doing the same. This is an easy and quick way to stock up on brochures, travel guides, and information to have on hand for your guests.

Marketing Workshop – Hear from Visit Ithaca on what resources are available to make your business, event or program more visible and enticing to visitors. Learn about digital marketing opportunities, and current marketing focuses and trends. Get connected with area resources for event planning, learn tactics for successful measurement of return on investment, and network with fellow hospitality businesses. The second half of the workshop will include a panel discussion focusing on digital marketing tactics, measurement and tracking and Public Relations.
 
Who should attend: All Tompkins County tourism and hospitality partners including agriculinary tourism partners, & Tompkins Tourism Program grant recipients.
