Join on us on Thursday, October 13 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm for the Business After Hours hosted by The Society of Human Resources of Tompkins County.
Society for Human Resource Management of Tompkins County (SHRMTC) began as the Personnel Association of Tompkins County back in 1970?s. In 2000 our name was changed in order to gain recognition as an affiliated chapter of the national organization Society for Human Resource Management.
SHRMTC is a non-profit, individual membership association for human resource management professionals of approximately 135 members. The local chapter meets once monthly, providing a forum, through breakfast meetings and presentations, where Human Resource representatives can network with one another to enhance professional growth and career development.
SHRMTC holds monthly educational meetings and other events that are open to everyone. Those who attend may be Human Resources professionals or Executive Directors who are also responsible for hiring to firing and everything in between or the small business owner who wants to learn more about employment related laws and issues.
SHRMTC is a resource to the small business or nonprofit community on human resource issues facing everyone today. Our monthly meetings include various topics including recruitment, performance management, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, strategic planning, retention management, wellness benefits, maximizing employer health care costs, as well as our annual legal update on labor law concerns.
You can visit our website at www.shrmtc.org to learn more about our monthly meetings and membership.
Attending the Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours networking events can help you connect with potentially hundreds of chamber members and community and business leaders.
Fees: Chamber members pre-register for $12. Walk-ins are welcome for $20; non members are $30. |
