Government & Community Affairs Committee Meeting
Focus on: Energy
Join us as we host two guests sharing interesting information about big projects in Tompkins County, and the NYS energy markets.
Cornell University's Vice President for Facilities & Campus Services, Rick Burgess, will join us to discuss Cornell's progress with Earth Source Heat. Rick leads a team of more than 1,000 employees in planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of university buildings, grounds and utilities infrastructure for the Ithaca campus, including the university’s electricity, steam, chilled water and potable water systems; as well as real estate, and the Campus Sustainability Office. More information about Earth Source Heat can be found here.
Next, Jerry Goodenough of Cayuga Operating Company, will share insights about changing energy markets in NYS, and the proposed project to transition the Cayuga facility into a data hub.
