Event Description:
The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce announces a roundtable discussion on Federal relief for state and local governments to be held on Monday, August 3rd at 4 p.m. with County Officials and local leaders.

The Roundtable will feature information on anticipated Federal Covid relief legislation, and the need for adequate, immediate, and direct funding for state and local governments to be included in that legislation. State and local government funds have been severely impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, and Federal funding support is of utmost importance to school districts, human services organizations, public health agencies, and other critical local services in our community.
The roundtable discussion will be facilitated by Jason Molino, Tompkins County Administrator. Participating in the discussion will be:
  • Leslyn McBean Clairborne, Chair of the Tompkins County Legislature and Director of GIAC
  • Martha Robertson, Legislator from Dryden
  • Dr. Orinthia Montague, President of Tompkins Cortland Community College
  • Jeffrey Matteson, Superintendent of TST BOCES
  • Jennifer Tavares, President of the Tompkins Chamber
  • Kathy Schlather, Executive Director of the Human Services Coalition
  • Heather McDaniel, President of Tompkins County Area Development
