"Top 10 Tips & Tricks to Managing Change" by Dawn White. PMI Rochester-Ithaca Branch March component meeting

"Top 10 Tips & Tricks to Managing Change"
Presented by Dawn White, Business process Lead/Change Management Lead, Shared Services, Corning Inc.

Think about the last change effort you went through at your company. Did you feel like a victim of the change or a part of the change? Often times project managers are confronted with projects that require significant change management to move individuals to the desired future state. This work shop will reveal 10 Tips & Tricks to help you ensure those impacted by your change efforts will feel like they are a part of the change and not a victim of the change.

About Our Speaker

Dawn joined Corning in 2011 as a project analyst in Shared Services (CSS). Prior to Corning, Dawn worked 7 years at General Motors as trainer and served 9 years in the United States Air Force as a health care manager and recruiter.

In 2012 Dawn moved into the CSS- Business Process Engineering group as a business process lead. Dawn has led several projects including a division relocation and the deployment of a division-wide quality training curriculum. Dawn has also worked on several change management initiatives such as the deployment of Concur, D&B to Equifax Project, and Seneca.

In late 2012 Dawn launched the United Way (UW) Process Improvement Project which simultaneously led to her appointment as the corporate UW Program Administrator. In this role she has oversight and guidance for 27 UW programs across the Corning Incorporated. Since then, Dawn’s work time has been split among managing the corporate UW program, serving as the PEx site champion for Shared Services-North America, and leading process improvement or change management projects.

Dawn is a PROSCI certified Change Management Professional and a certified PEx Black Belt. She is currently seeking the PMP certification. Dawn graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Elmirea Collee and and an MBA from Ithaca College.
