Both of our co-hosts have community central to their missions, and both have it as the first words in their names. So we wanted to have you focus on community for the networking/sharing portion. Please come to BAH prepared to share a response to at least one of the following questions of your choice:
What is an important/special aspect of our community that you are working to preserve during the pandemic?
What changes would you like to see in our community?
As we begin to enter the holiday season, what special steps are you taking to give back to our community?
Be sure to stick around for our Business After Hours virtual raffle. Community Foundation has made funds available for two grants to be made by two BAH registrants. These grants will be guided by Community Foundation’s community impact and philanthropic consulting staff. The two grant makers will be selected by a random number generator applied to the registration list.
One winner will be able to direct $250 from the Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund to a local nonprofit needing support to continue to deliver on its mission during these challenging times. The COVID-19 Response Fund provides flexible resources to basic needs nonprofit organizations serving Tompkins County communities to address how they and their participants are impacted by this crisis.
The second winner will be able to direct $250 from the Community Foundation Social Justice Fund to a local nonprofit working to achieve greater racial justice. The Social Justice field of interest fund is dedicated to understanding and interrupting the traditional patterns of exclusion which prevent equal opportunity for all.
Other raffle prizes at the end of the event will be Gift Certificates from Rasa Spa and Bottles of wine from Sheldrake Point Winery. Must be present to win.
Register here. You will receive a confirmation email at 3pm the day prior to the event, containing the Meeting ID and Password to join the Zoom meeting.
