The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce and Blossom Coaching will bring you the chance to learn how to sell confidently, authentically, and in service to your clients with Sell with Confidence: A workshop for coaches, consultants, and anyone who struggles to close sales.
Women small business owners want to make a difference in their communities, be a strong example for their kids, and bring home the bacon (or Fakin’, if you’re vegan).
The old image of a salesperson is pushy, willing to lie, and wants to make a sale at any cost. That way of selling is outdated and doesn't work for small businesses operating in a tight-knit community.
There is a better way. It begins with your beliefs about money, power, and asking for what you want.
Disempowering beliefs show up as not asking for the sale, not following up with a prospective client, and charging less than you’re worth.
These are a few of the signs that a disempowering belief is at work:
Sudden Loss of Confidence
Having lots of confidence right up until the discussion of money happens and then you feel uncertain, hesitant, or afraid of being pushy
The Inner Conflict
Thinking “but I love what I do, it doesn’t feel like I should charge for it”
Trying to Hide It
Not wanting to seem like you need the money, but you really, really do… and it shows
Competing Against Yourself
Negotiating down your fees before your client has even had an opportunity to accept or reject the sale
Show up as the expert you are by addressing objections before they come up, give your client small wins during the conversation, and give her reasons to say “yes” to the solution you provide.
We’ll address all of this during an interactive, self-reflective, and playful, 2-hour workshop Sell with Confidence. You'll walk away knowing hot to stay in control of sales conversations, bust through your disempowering beliefs, and create opportunities to do more of the work you love.
