Job Summary

Promote and ensure equitable access to public health education and services with a focus on improving birth and health outcomes.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to build awareness about programs and services.

  • Direct Support: Work directly with individuals and families to access resources and services to improve health outcomes.

  • Advocacy: Support self-advocacy skills and recognize personal experience and growth.

  • Collaboration: Partner with community organizations to strengthen networks and build relationships to better support clients.

  • Assistance: Provide referrals and assistance with paperwork and applications for health-related needs and services.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills.

  • A passion for public health equity.

  • Strong ability to build trusting relationships with community members, local initiatives, and coalitions.

  • Training: Comprehensive training is provided.

  • Languages: Preferred fluency in other languages (Spanish, Chinese, or Karen).

Position Details

  • Type: Full-time, 35 hours/week.

  • Compensation: $28.42/hour hire rate, increasing to $29.92/hour work rate.
