Job description

Maintains hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, assisting the Housekeepers with supplies and/or linens.
 

REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.

1. Stocks linen closets and guestrooms with amenities and supplies for Room Attendants.

2. Remove trash, maintain cleanliness of our hallways and public areas.

3. Assists supervisors with heavy items delivered from vendors.

4. Participates in Housekeeping programs such as mattress rotation, duvet maintenance, and deep cleaning.

5. Greeting and acknowledging guests in a courteous and friendly manner.

6. Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction and impress guests with quality and timely service in a friendly and efficient manner

7. Practices safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, follow standard operating procedures and OSHA Guidelines.

8. Promptly turns any lost and found items into housekeeping management.

9. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis in uniform with nametag. Be well versed and informed regarding hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate.
 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Good communications skills; self-starting personality with an even disposition; maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times; can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player; knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment; ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs; ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined space; stoop, squat, and stretch on a regular basis; attention to detail with good organizational and efficient time management skills. The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance. Every associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
