Full/Part Time Bartender- Burger 'n' Bar Restaurant located in The Hotel Ithaca
From $10.70 an hour with a minimum tip of $5.30 an hour.
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Bartender/Server to join our restaurant team. This position pays $10.70 per hour plus tips and requires someone who is comfortable providing great service in both a bar and restaurant environment. All team members are required to learn our breakfast service, which operates from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM, in addition to our dinner service from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Applicants should be flexible and willing to work a combination of breakfast and dinner shifts based on the needs of the restaurant. Our hotel also hosts banquets and special events, and we occasionally pull team members from the restaurant to assist with banquet service. Employees who work these events also have the opportunity to earn additional tips from banquet service. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works well with a team, provides excellent guest service, and is willing to learn and help wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities

Bar & Service Operations: Mix classic and signature drinks using standard recipes and pouring sizes; slice and prepare garnishes; keep the bar stocked with liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, and accessories.

Guest Experience: Deliver friendly, attentive service to bar and dining room patrons; act as a brand ambassador by creating a warm, professional atmosphere.

Cash & Inventory Management: Collect payments, handle cash drawers accurately, track inventory, and assist with ordering beer, wine, liquor, and supplies.

Safety & Responsible Service: Verify legal drinking age; monitor guest alcohol consumption responsibly; coordinate safe transportation (taxis/rideshares) when needed; report safety hazards promptly.

Team Collaboration: Work efficiently alongside servers and kitchen staff, and step in to assist team members whenever needed.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements

Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirit service, with an eagerness to learn.

Strong communication skills and a professional, positive demeanor.

High level of manual dexterity to use knives for garnishes, scoop ice, handle glassware, and mix drinks efficiently.

Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours in a fast-paced environment and lift boxes/supplies up to 20 lbs.

Flexibility to work a mix of shifts based on business needs.
