The Sciencenter is hiring Camp Counselors and Camp Assistants for our 2026 Summer Camp.
Camp staff will care for campers ages 6-11, ensure their safety, provide leadership and companionship, and educate campers about basic STEM concepts by leading hands-on camp activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Camper Care: Supervise a group of campers for the duration of each camp session.
Activity Facilitation: Lead hands-on, playful science activities with campers, highlighting key STEM concepts at an appropriate level for the campers.
Camp Culture: Help to cultivate a sense of belonging for all campers.
After-Camp Care: Independently supervise campers who stay for after-camp care.
Camp Classroom Maintenance: Maintain, with support from Camp Assistants, an organized and clean classroom environment for campers.
The hourly rates are as follows:
Camp Counselor - $18.45/hour
Camp Assistant - $16.00/hour
